I'd had my first 3 pairs for a while and whilst I'd worn then casually and exercising, I hadn't used them tramping.
I had very soft skin and a both feet need taping and wool in the toe area. Summer particularly is black toe nails and blisters. I don't blister between my toes amd doubted creepers would make any difference.
Boy was I wrong. I've tried all the big expensive brands over the years and they made no difference.
Over summer I've thrashed my creepers. Multi day trips, day trips, formed tracks, route finding, bush bashing, alpine, subalpine, wet feet, dry feet, stinking hot Canterbury and Otago days.... bush, scree (up amd down), river beds, rocks, sand, pasture, tussocks, and in off-road or running shoes, and 2 pairs of different tramping boots (nubuk and synthetic).
I still tape my big toe joint and the balls of my feet. I use much less of each. My feet are significantly cooler and that's amazing.
My one criticism is that they wear faster than my traditional socks. They've gone kind of shiny and thin underneath. My feet are looking more than 90% better than they usually would at this stage of summer/autumn.
I note too that the new run of socks due out soon is a different mix that sounds more durable.
I honestly can't believe how good these socks are. I've worn the ankle socks with boots. They're fine and I have no bare skin rubbing on boots.
